Service projects are a great way for you or your group to get involved with the Children’s Advocacy Alliance. The projects below are ongoing projects, but we can also meet with you to discuss a project specific to your group’s focus.
My Stuff Bags: My Stuff Bags ensure each child who is taken into foster care has a bag in which to carry their personal belongings. Most often a child is taken into care with little warning and as a result arrives at the foster home with their clothes thrown into a trash bag. In addition to ensuring the child has an actual bag, the My Stuff Bag also has a blanket and personal hygiene items as these items are often not packed.
Birthday Bags: A birthday bag contains everything a foster parent or guardian needs to make a birthday cake for the child in their care. So often in foster care, simple things like a birthday cake and party hats are difficult to make happen. The birthday bag is delivered to the child by the CASA Advocate and ensures they can celebrate their birthday.
